Meet the hero who actually did the awesome content of DefiScan review. It is a very strange framework which treats a multisig as more decentralized than an on-chain DAO where, in fact, it should be the opposite.
I personally did this review, however, some of the language has been changed and rewritten from my initial submission, and I feel the need to write some comments in light of @TokenBrice's recent tweets. I had a lot of trouble fitting Curve within @defiscan_info's.

And this guy again. Otherwise-excellent effort to collect information about different DeFi projects got spoiled by one man's toxicity. This mint is backed by LP tokens (200%-collateralized) whenever it comes to circulation. I get it that crvUSD CAN do it at all though.
A proposal suggesting to mint out-of-thin-air, unbacked, 60M crvUSD (~50% of the current 120M supply) to quickstart @yieldbasis . This capacity for unbacked minting is one of the key element that lead @CurveFinance to a high Upgradability risk on @defiscan_info and thus a Stage 0

This is ridiculous. Everything is ALREADY very well traceable on chain. No-KYC wallets are not even wallets. This BIS opinion is VERY detrimental. If ever implemented - it will lead to crypto splitting away a shadow economy which will eventually overtake the "official" one.
🚨NEW: Economists at the Bank of International Settlements propose banning any coin that has passed through a no-KYC wallet from regulated services to enable a culture of self-policing.

He is right. US Treasury proposal is very bad and should be opposed by everyone who understands DeFi and crypto even a little bit.
@Cointelegraph Threat actors will do exactly what they have done for years and completely bypass the requirements by purchasing KYC’d accounts (you can buy verified accounts online from any platform for <$100). Meanwhile innocent people would inevitably get their PII leaked by incompetent.

This is exactly the point I was usually making about crypto vs tradfi. Crypto is LESS suited for money laundering due to being transparent. And indeed, keeping users informed will cause them to avoid dangerous places, so compliance would be enforced by people themselves, not.
Traditional AML struggles on public blockchains but blockchain provenance enables new compliance tools. AML scores can flag risky crypto units at fiat off-ramps, promoting a culture of “duty of care” without relying on intermediaries.
