my submission is in -> .x402 pay-per-inference with instant payouts (CDP wallets) on HuggingFace Spaces 🤗 partially inspired by @ClementDelangue posts. Take a peek and then try it out in Spaces yourself. Links are all on the submission page.

100% agree. As of right now there are a few different ways of accomplishing this. - Gas sponsorship & smart contract wallets .ex: Porto, CB Smart Wallet + Paymaster.- Signature based mechanisms (ex: EIP-3009) + service to bring signatures onchain .ex: x402, CB Commerce Protocol,.
Users shouldn't pay gas fees, apps should. NextJS example for fee sponsoring in Porto just landed (link in thread)
