I commend Billy Napier for handling this entire process with grace. He stood down the barrel over and over again, and had the stadium chanting to fire him. Great guy and family man (as far as the eye can see), but he’s just not cut out to win football games in the SEC.

There’s maybe never been a bigger dichotomy between how much I liked a coach off the field, and disliked him on it. Napier is a genuinely good dude, and that matters. But he lacked the acumen & adaptability I thought would be hallmarks of his tenure. Time to find the right fit.
