#Famine_in_North_Gaza. Civilians are starving, thirsty, and dying. An immediate #ceasefire is critical. Only widespread access to adequate food, medical supplies, water, and basic services can contain the risk of #famine. #IPC #UnitedNations

I am upset to learn that Canada is selling 50,000 mortars to the US which will be shipped to Israel. I sent a letter to Minister Joly in response. https://t.co/deZr1Px9R6 @melaniejoly @CJPME #Gaza #genocide

🚨 Action alert: Canada is about to allow 50,000 “high explosive” mortars to be transferred to the Israeli military, even as it commits genocide in Gaza. Tell @melaniejoly to block this shipment and impose a full two-way embargo on Israel now! https://t.co/tYxVQAbobk

Half of all classes at the U are taught by @ATS_UofA instructors. They have no job security, are not compensated for their full working hours and have no benefits. How do labour rights factor into EDI under the university's ten year strategic plan?

$10M is a good start, but more investment is needed to meet the government's commitments to increasing the CBF by 50% & elevating "Canadian authors & stories both at home & abroad." The CBF's core budget has not increased since 2001, causing its real value to erode by > 55%.
