(Though I shan't be invisible. I'm going to leave my archive here, if anyone finds it useful or interesting. And you will be able to find @Paulatics tooting away on a platform named for an animal akin to the wooly mammoth. Oh, and on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.).

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. I am going now. I bid you all a very fond farewell.

But what with one thing and another, this seems the right time to bow out. I'm happy that my final "acts" here were to reunite a little boy with his lost Bunbun, and to share #yegquest with you all. #yeg.

I have so so loved it here. I have told so many stories, made so many friendships, shared joys and sorrows and frustrations, tried to bring you all the breaking news, even after my transmogrification into a Senator, of all things.

The Eight Days (plus one) of Henukkah were my feathery effort to share the joy of Hanukkah with all of Edmonton, and to share the beauty of our winter city, and our downtown core with all of Twitter. But they were also my final little gift to you on this platform. #yeg #yegdt.

Big DW energy among motorists who assume the “bridge closed” notices don’t apply to them.

Bye bye bridge. My new favourite pastime is watching confused motorists ignore all the signs, blow past all the warnings, and then screech to an indignant halt when the realize that yes, the rules of gravity do apply to them. #yeg #yegtraffic

Holy yikes. The demolition of the Stony Plain Road bridge over Groat Road is in full swing at 11:40 pm. Hammer and tongs. I can just hear it through my upstairs bathroom window. My condolences to those living much closer. You won’t need fireworks to keep you up till midnight.
