Depressive symptoms are unfortunately common after #stroke, and this recent paper examined the associations between depressive symptom dimensions over time post-stroke. Regular assessment can help identify those at risk and allow for early intervention. https://t.co/1VjXcmQ2AF

Given the many, many discussions, I am seeing on cross-sectional mediation, I am curious about the opinion and state of the field pertaining to cross-sectional data at all. Is the generous consensus that it is useless?

Some EEG work I spent the past two years collecting data for - an unexpected non-replication of ERN effects in psychopathology, but brings forth the critical issue of statistical power. We had N=195 (gen pop)... we suggest even larger Ns are needed.
Null results from a dimensional study of error-related negativity (ERN) and self-reported psychiatric symptoms https://t.co/88tt4zvsEj

There's very unsettling news at @MountSinaiNYC, and I'm going to write a long thread about it. With it, I plan to share a relevant experience I've never publicly discussed and I will offer ideas of action steps. I hope you'll to read this thread, share what's happened, and act.

Measurement isn't just an abstract issue, y'all! I've now had multiple clients tell me that filling out self-report symptom measures each week helped them form a habit of noticing their emotions/thoughts & to see that sx's DO change w/ time, even they didn't expect that. (1/4)
