I spoke with a few dozen of my Jewish neighbors in their 60s, 70s, and 80s who opposed Cuomo and supported Mamdani. Some were moral clarity voters, others wanted a Democratic party that was fresh and energetic. Either way, it was great to see!.
Not quite. It wasn’t that Cuomo didn’t go after Zohran enough - Cuomo and his allies spent tens of millions of dollars in negative ads and mailers. It’s that voters of all ages rejected Cuomo’s scare tactics.

A patient today had one main concern:. ~15 of his neighbors were arrested all at once by ICE a few weeks ago and the barbarity of it has been constantly, painfully on his mind. .
ICE arrests have skyrocketed in recent weeks, breaking up families and spreading fear in our neighborhoods. This is what happens when a Mayor rolls out of the red carpet for authoritarianism. Change cannot come soon enough.
