Inspiring to be with the good people of @CaritasDOB this morning, powerful discussions on what is poverty, what causes it and how as a Church we can respond with compassion and combat the structural causes. #CatholicSocialTeaching #CatholicTwitter @CSANonline

Hoping our easterly neighbours and #CaritasCousins @CaritasDOB have an inspiring and fruitful day, and will go forth and #MakeADifference even more in their local communities!
Today I’m with the good people @CaritasDOB @BrentwoodRC - looking forward to speaking later and affirming them in the great work they do to build the kingdom of love, justice and peace. Where else would I want to be on the hottest day of the year! @CSANonline

Let's start by making sure no child goes hungry at school. #FreeSchoolMealsforAll would make our schools happier, healthier places where children eat, learn and grow together. Sign our open letter urging @RishiSunak to act today: https://t.co/24x2W5BmhL 🔁And RT if you agree.

Last year, more than 760,000 people used a food bank for first time because they didn't have enough for the essentials, like food and heating. This isn't right. Can you help us build a better future where everyone can afford the essentials? 👉 https://t.co/4XtU9d6u7V

Being evicted can force people to turn to a food bank for support, which is why we welcome the #RentersReformBill which will scrap ‘no fault’ evictions. But there is a risk that people struggling to afford the essentials will still face eviction.
