We were blessed to have Sian and Ava from Caritas present to Year 10 today as part of their Retreat. Students engaged in activities which highlighted the poverty cycle perpetuated by a materialistic society and which fed directly into their theme of ‘Being a Voice for Justice’.

Today Year 10 have their Retreat on the theme of ‘Being a Voice for Justice’ starting with Mass celebrated by Fr Saji Thomas. Bidding Prayer intentions include praying for all souls, peace in our world, equality for women and the end of child poverty. 🙏🏿🙏🏾🙏🏽🙏🏼🙏🏻

We had another fantastic day with the @SpeakersTrust today for the @JPFoundation Speak Out Challenge workshop. Students learnt so much about public speaking and then performed their fantastic speeches in front of each other. 🗣️📣✨

Yesterday our GCSE PE students went to UEL Sports Dock to participate in an Applied Sport & Exercise Science event. They participated in sessions on Sport, PE & Development, Sports Rehabilitation and Sport & Exercise Science. A really enjoyable day!

A super Futures Fair today during Rise Up Day for Key Stages 4 and 5. Students had meaningful encounters with universities, 6th forms and colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers. Helping students with their post-phase planning as they consider their future opportunities!

It is Road Safety Awareness Week this week and this is the theme of this week’s assemblies. Students are hearing about the history of road safety in the UK, what has lead to our roads being some of the safest in the world and how their actions can keep them and others safe.

11 Adebola and 11 Levenson had their joint Form Mass today. Intentions for the bidding prayers were for all those who have gone before us including family and friends and those killed by war as well as for the poor, homeless and sick and success in their approaching mock exams.
