My Jose Canseco card collection sat sad and alone in a bin for 25 years. But my love is rekindled! 1,147 and counting and I’m gonna try to post one a day.

As promised, here’s the super cool thing that happened today! I had the immortal @JoseCanseco sign my original art! First time meeting him and I was too flustered to turn around and pose with him. 😳

1,147. 2023 LEAF TRINITY #32. This represents my first foray into modern Leaf! Definitely a bummer that it’s unlicensed, but it’s still a nice card. And it’s classic, mulleted Jose! 1/2

1,146. 2022 TOPPS STADIUM CLUB RED #114. This gives me 7 versions of this card and there are probably another 800 parallels. But progress, right? This is a fun shot because there are at least 2 people who seem to be taking a picture of Jose having his picture taken. 1/2

1,145. 2021 TOPPS 1986 35TH ANNIVERSARY #86B-22. I’m always thrilled to welcome a nice, glossy tribute to Jose’s 1986 Topps debut. But I’ve always wondered why they go with the full “Athletics” name rather than just “A’s,” which they did back in ‘86. 🤔 1/2

1,144. 2020 TOPPS STADIUM CLUB SEPIA #146. Sepia is always a nice antique-looking parallel. But what’s funny about this photo is Jose couldn’t look more detached from this fan interaction. He’s standing as far away as possible and looking who knows where, but not at the kids. 1/2

1,143. 2019 TOPPS CHROME THE FAMILY BUSINESS #FBC-13. Now my Topps flagship version of this card has his Chrome brother beside him. Always nice to bring family together. Especially when it’s the Family Business. 1/2

1,142. 2019 TOPPS UPDATE 150 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL #150-65. I really like the unique borderless design on this insert, with those diagonal lines in the corners and in the “GREATEST MOMENTS.” Plus, we’ve got a cool shot of prime, mulleted Jose! 2/2

1,141. 2019 TOPPS TOPPS STADIUM CLUB RED #185. Yesterday’s post was so nice, you’re seeing it twice! This time it’s coming at you with a snazzy red foil treatment. This is no doubt a gorgeous photo, but I can’t help but snicker at the parquet flooring. What an odd choice. 1/2

1,140. 2019 TOPPS STADIUM CLUB #185. This could very well be Jose’s best Stadium Club photo ever. Granted, you don’t see his face, but it’s full of drama as Jose heads from the clubhouse to slug another day, with that iconic name and number on full display. 1/2

1,139. 2018 TOPPS ARCHIVES #316. Jose snuck in with a base set card here many years after his retirement. You know I always love a card commemorating 40/40, since that’s when I caught Jose Fever. But the pic looks like it’s from ‘92 with the A’s 25th anniversary patch. 1/2
