James Williams was asked about recruits watching Miami, and said what the nation is secretly afraid of — when the Canes are putting out a solid product on the field and winning games, it is very tough to recruit against The U.
The
#Panthers
are hiring Dan Morgan as their new GM, per me,
@JamesPalmerTV
, and
@TomPelissero
. After an exhaustive search, Carolina stays in-house.
A former Pro Bowl player in Carolina, Morgan has been assistant GM since 2021. Now promoted, he’ll work to hire the new coach.
Enormous pickup. Washington starting DB Mishael Powell commits to Canes. Versatile, intelligent player who led the Huskies in picks and is every bit of 6’1, 210.
Hats off to Jaden Davis, who had a heck of a performance yesterday against Texas A&M — and another great find by the staff in the transfer portal. There was not a lot of hype around his transfer from Oklahoma, but he’s proven early on that it was a massive addition
Jared Harrison-Hunte commits to Miami. Huge pickup over Alabama, Ohio State and Penn State. Naturally big jumbo athlete with huge upside. Converted hooper.
Mario Cristobal to
@JoeRoseShow
on the transfer portal: “We’re not close to being done, brother. We’ve been at it this morning. We’ve still got work to do.”
Quite a recruiting visit. Miami’s coach Mario Cristobal posing with Fenwick’s Nate Marshall before leaving River Forest in a helicopter.
It landed on Fenwick’s soccer field.
BREAKING: Miami Herald has confirmed through a source that Alabama quarterbacks coach Dan Enos will become the new University of Miami offensive coordinator.
Been a while since an opposing coach spoke about a Miami team’s physicality like this. Yes, it was not against a P5 program — but the Canes imposed their will as they should against a team of that caliber.
BREAKING 🚨
Shannon Dawson is set to take over at Offensive Coordinator for the University of Miami!
Houston last year (with Dawson) was 13th in the nation in scoring (36.1 PPG) and the 18th most pass happy team in the nation.
New direction for the Canes offense?? 👀
When UGA beats FSU by a million, nobody will remember this “controversy.” And when Miami beats FSU in the Rock next year, nobody will remember FSU’s brief Portal mirage.
BREAKING: 4 ⭐️ CB Damari Brown has committed to the U! 🙌
The 6’1 180 lb corner out of American Heritage chooses the Canes over Alabama. Mario, DVD, and Coach Addae are building a special cornerback class this cycle.
Welcome to the U
@db2_era
!
Cristobal has landed the best player in Northern California, the best player in Washington, the best player in Oregon and the best player from American Samoa. The Pacific is Canes territory.
BOOM! Marcellius Pulliam has committed to the University of Miami!
The 6’3 215lb backer out of the peach state adds speed and length to this LB commit class. Mario is beefing up the LB room. 💪
Canes stay hot on the trail LET'S GO

🙌🔥
Alabama transfer OL Javion Cohen has been an instant impact player for Miami’s offensive line this season at left guard. He was asked how Mario Cristobal’s blueprint for The Canes compares to his time at Alabama — safe to say Cohen believes in Cristobal’s plan.
Huge news. First-team All-ACC receiver returns to the Canes. He will be one of the top slot receivers in the nation and will be a Godsend to whoever is taking snaps.
This was supposed to be the breakthrough class for FSU and a transition class for Miami. FSU is down to five blue-chippers. Miami is at seven (and counting). Two programs going in opposite directions.
Have to love the maturity here by Kam Kinchens, not taking the bait on the question about Miami (OH) QB Brett Gabbert referring to them as “the real Miami”
Mario Cristobal on Kam Kinchens: “So far reports that we have on Kam, everything seems to be relatively normal. We’re going to head over there right after I get done with a press conference and see how he's doing. But it seems like we're gonna be fine.”
BANGGGGG!!! 4 ⭐️ RB Mark Fletcher has committed to the U!
The 6’1 255 lb running back chooses the Canes over the likes of the Gators. Fletcher, out of American Heritage, joins Chris Johnson Jr as the running back commits in this class.
Welcome to the U
@fletcherjr_mark
!
D.P.O.Y
An absolute FORCE in the backfield! Nobody sacked the QB more time than Spanish Fort’s
@ColeMcconathy
That makes him our BamaPreps defensive player of the year!
Interesting tidbit from Mario Cristobal — he said when Shannon Dawson & Lance Guidry found out they were both under consideration for coordinator jobs at Miami, it solidified their decisions to come. Cristobal compared it to Lebron, Wade, & Bosh wanting to play together
Canes DC Lance Guidry explains his adjustment to go with a 3-3-5 look against Clemson, as opposed to his usual 4-2-5 base. Miami’s defense stifled Clemson’s run game all night.
Regardless of what happens the rest of his career, a lot of people owe DJ Ivey an apology. This guy is playing on Sundays and proving a ton of people wrong.
Pitt beats Virginia. The Cavs still have to go to Georgia Tech and Blacksburg with a beat up defense. Miami path to the Coastal is there if they right the ship. Support these players.
I’m told the search firm, Turnkey, is threatening to resign if Miami grants an interview to AD candidate Tom Jurich. My opinion is that the University should not let a service provider dictate what may be the most important decision in the past 20 years of UM athletics. - D$
Although Texas A&M and Miami squared off last season in College Station, Jimbo Fisher understands this is a much different Canes roster. Fisher gave his thoughts on some of Miami’s talent in his press conference yesterday.
Could not be any happier for Corey Flagg, who made the game-sealing play last night against Clemson. The veteran linebacker has been maligned by fans throughout his career, but he’s stuck with it and carved out an important role — including his leadership in the locker room.
Elite QB Cam Ward visits Miami tomorrow. Best sell for the Canes- after years of running around, Ward can safely stand behind one of the best OL in the nation.
Ahmad Moten to the U. Dominated state playoffs this year. Local DT with size and athleticism. When you beat out Brent Venables, you know you’re on the right track.
Per Barry Jackson, Jason Taylor is expected to remain with Miami in an expanded role.
Jason Taylor was highly regarded last year for his involvement in recruiting and player development.
HUGE development for the Canes 🙌
Hats off to freshman QB Emory Williams for making some big-time throws when it mattered most last night. It was not always pretty, but Williams gets the win in his first career start. Was great to see TVD’s excitement for Emory as well
Manny Diaz is a defensive coach with the 92nd ranked defense and a “recruiter” with the 57th ranked class. Bringing him back would be suicidal. Canes fans let
@rudyfernandez23
know about how you would react if Manny is brought back.
Miami’s Cam Ward has signed a multi-year NIL partnership with a Fortune 500 company.
As part of the deal, the QB will star in the national campaign with his parents, Calvin and Patrice Ward.

BREAKING: Four-Star DL Kendall Jackson tells me he has Committed to Miami!
The 6’4 255 DL from Gainesville, FL was previously committed to Florida
“The League is not my end goal. I want to be a Hall of Famer & who else better to help get me there than a Hall of Famer!”
BOOOOOM! Francisco Mauigoa, brother of Francis Mauigoa (Canes OL Signee) has committed to the Canes!
Mauigoa is transferring from Washington State where he was very productive at LB. Welcome to The U Francisco! 🙌
It’s like I’ve said time and time again… when it comes down to it Mario will stuff G5 Billy in a locker time and time again 🤷♂️ Enjoy this one!
Welcome to The U Cormani 🙌🙌🙌
Recruits, notice the difference in pride between FSU grads and Miami grads. Miami is a lifelong brotherhood. FSU is a temporary stop with no future benefits.
Wow. The lack of respect for the school that gave him his start is wild. The same school that retired his jersey. The same school that let him be Prime.
There is a way to handle this question and this ain’t it.
Kamren Kinchens has been selected to the AP All- America First Team.
Kinchens finished the season with 6 interceptions. Congratulations to Kam!
