Nobody cares that Joe Montana threw 3 INT’s in the ‘81 NFCCG. That’s because he hit Clark for the go ahead TD. Purdy threw 2 picks, but when the game was on the line, he showed no fear. He marched SF down the field and threw a go-ahead TD. That’s what franchise QB’s do.
