The “Smile on a Stick” has been a huge fan-favorite at the conference. People are loving it, asking for it, celebrating it, and making suggestions for future iterations. My mask has become part of my brand as a speaker/author. I’ve fully embraced it.

NEW: California will be the first state in the nation to sell its own insulin. It will be $11. No Big Pharma price gouging. Simple, affordable healthcare. As it should be.

there's absolutely nothing fun about being correct & early regarding covid protecting my already shitty immune system is by far the wisest thing i've ever done for myself and it's only cost me my social life, stage career, familial relationships, my naivety to human nature...

It’s a slow-moving spiral: first their health, then their grades, then their future. Those for whom Covid looms very present are feeling forgotten, subject to pervasive skepticism and a kind of cultural fatigue when it comes to their illness. 🔗 https://t.co/q0QjHOh9Bq

“We may be witnessing the emergence of a population-level acquired immune deficiency — not sexually transmitted, but airborne.” That line isn’t from a tweet. It’s from a peer-reviewed paper in AJPM Focus (2025). A short thread 🧵 on why this framing matters 👇

California; Starting Nov. 1, several counties — including Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Napa, San Mateo and Santa Cruz — will again require health care workers, and in some cases patients and visitors, to wear masks in patient care areas through the winter and early spring.

I will give gratitude to this particular office - they donned masks (surgical) when bringing me back per my request then agreed to swap with my provided Aura N95s during my procedure. Very kind & zero pushback or inappropriate questions about masking

My trusty Exhalaron blowing clean air into my N95 masked face waiting in an unmasked staffed doctor’s office 🫠 I always prep for “why masking” Qs. Think I’ll say “if you’ve read the massive amounts of peer reviewed research on covid, you would too!” (Pictured: Trident Regular)

Wanted to share this compiled list of longcovid clinics from Voix Noire. There’s a $2.99 fee to access that goes to their organization. I’ve not personally vetted the list; questions can be directed to @voix_noire

I should add this photo was taken after carrying our toddler up 350 steps on the Moro rock trail in the sequoias. He’s a beast with a beautiful heart who could give a F* about “what everyone else is doing” if it means sacrificing his kids’ longterm health. Best dad ever.

The lion fiercely protects his family against shortsighted peer pressure to embrace danger 🦠. He hasn’t been sick in 4+ years & his endurance in sports 🏀 🏈 ⚽️ has amplified with better lung function 😷 despite being on the other side of 40. He is the epitome of strength.

Got my Novavax (say “Nuvaxovid” 25-26) at Walmart pharmacy today in San Diego county. There’s a provided sheet asking if you’re within the timing requirement & if you meet the list of conditions to qualify - self attest to both & sign. Insurance (anthem blue cross) covered ✅

As expected, Columbia University's mask ban is being enforced against students wearing masks for medical reasons (even though the ban itself claims to make an exception).
