SACRED GROUND.Before you speak about the Texas Hill Country tragedy, ask yourself - will this in any way ease pain or lighten the load carried by those closest to this tragedy?. We all have the obligation to treat heartbroken people, and their excruciating losses and grief as.

“ Houston is a place of contradictions and juxtapositions, a place where the forces reshaping the world – climate, energy transition, migration – collide. Whatever solutions are forged here, whatever conflicts are reconciled here, in this essential city, will matter here and in.

Painful. Sometimes no matter what you do or how much of it you do it will not be enough. Today I’m of the mindset that you are welcome to provide all the criticism you like if you were out last night doing what our team was doing - talking to our neighbors who are living on the.

HELP NEEDED . Need a local graphic illustrator for meeting about untangling a complex process. Needs to be able to create a visual representation of a process as it’s being described. This doesn’t need to be an artistic representation - though creativity is greatly appreciated.

I’d love to answer this. #StormSolidarity. I’m pulling my “City Leader’s Guide to Resettlement and Recovery” out for sharing. What can Houston teach Asheville about disaster recovery? One N.C. resident wants to find out. via @houstonchron.

THERE BE DRAGONS. We are a species in search of a new narrative, a new mythology, one that weaves our scientific understanding around and into the vast unknowable forces that buffet us to and fro. One that allows us to look up and inward for answers to human vulnerability and.

Please ignore criticism and blame for choices you made facing a storm. Storms are unpredictable and how you fare is only a small event in a much larger pattern. You are not to blame. We are all vulnerable creatures on a common journey. Disaster and disruption are a part of.

Response and recovery to catastrophic damage from #Helene will be significantly impeded by a strike of maritime workers - impacting materials and fuel availability and prices for everyone still recovering and those about to begin. This will be a long and complicated recovery.
