Negativity towards #Bitcoin is inversely proportional to knowledge of Bitcoin.

Dark Island is a dream story from The Earth Simulation: Life As We Knew. Now it's a movie short. All of the images and Video clips I made with Grok & Imagine. Then I put the 78 video clips together in a video editor.

Been saying this for a while. Creating an entire industry of professional edge lords in third world countries is not an outcome we should be ok with.
monetization should be ended. it has made a crapshow of X with engagement framing, bot replies, and other view and algo maxxing. 100% doing more harm than good. find a better way (like subscriptions or reader sponsorship) to reward contributors.

I feel like all the places ending in ‘stan’ get a bad rep, but Gamla Stan is surprisingly nice

Genuinely the most enraging thing about housing discourse is how people talk about 'affordability' like it's some sort of innate quality, like the building needs to be made out of affordium. Housing. is. affordable. when. housing. is. abundant. Supply and demand are real.
"No matter how many houses you build, if they are not affordable, then you will not solve the housing crisis." @ZackPolanski at our @TWT_NOW panel on why we need to take on the profiteers and the corporate giants to win homes for people.

Couldn’t agree more. I am of the firm opinion that elections (celebrity popularity contests) are by now pointless at best and counterproductive at worst. If we want a representative form of government we might as well choose our representatives randomly across the population.
If we replaced our entire Congress with 50 regular Americans with common sense, we would all be a lot better off.

That's... literally the same exact scenario as far as your status goes as a renter, not an owner... ...except the 'stranger' has a *big* incentive to make sure the house is nice, kept up over time, and available at a competitive price, and the goblerment does not.
Which is the most absurd? A stranger owns your house and you have to pay them personal profit on top of housing costs OR The council owns your house and you pay only the amount it costs to run (much cheaper) with any profit going into the local council to fund local projects

At least they’re calling it what it is: a campaign If you just listen for long enough people eventually tell you what they’re doing
The campaign against v30 is empirically working. Many eyes have been opened and you see it as several influential voices have done a 180 recently in their commentary on what Core has done. Keep getting the word out.

Lots of people out here not appreciating the difference between a meritocracy and a democracy. In Bitcoin, you don't get to just show up and demand people take you seriously, sorry. If you want influence, earn it or stfu.

The nominal gains in stocks that amaze the talking heads on @CNBC are a monetary illusion. In terms of real money, stocks are in a historic bear market. Priced in gold, the Dow has fallen from nearly 45 ounces in 1999 to about 11 ounces today. That’s a 75% decline over 26 years!

Rome was Classical, Paris was Neoclassical, New York was Art Deco… What will the architecture of the next great Western city be?

Bring. It. Back.
What I love about Art Deco is that it's rooted in the idea of objective beauty/goodness. It's one of the last art movements that doesn't feel compelled to "subvert" or "deconstruct" anything: it simply seeks to create the most beautiful, opulent displays because beauty is good.
