If this was extended to Permission Sets then this would save admins everywhere unnecessary clicks and help them maintain one 'master' permission set that contains all the object and field permissions for system admins.

If you create a new object in Salesforce then by default the Standard System Administrator Profile gets Read, Create, Edit, Delete, View All Records, Modify All Records automatically. The same functionality does not currently exist for Permission Sets.

Salesforce should maintain a System Administrator Permission Set 💡. Does anyone else wish Salesforce maintained a standard System Administrator Permission Set like it does for the System Administrator Profile?.
