What we are witnessing unfold in real time is the loss of power. Up until now, South Jersey Democrats have had a stranglehold on the state party. The electoral losses, the change in chairman-- none of this would be happening right now without these other weakening developments.

I’m honestly shocked that more people aren’t talking about the role of Facebook on the 2021 election. The problem isn’t just that disinformation gets high engagement (which is bad!), but that Facebook is a platform to organize around disinformation. Fact-checking isn’t enough!

If you came to our meeting where she spoke, you already know this, but it is wise to heed @JuliaSassRubin’s insights into this election. Progressive policy wins elections.
@GovMurphy has almost 51% of the vote, with about 100,000 ballots in heavily Democratic counties still being counted. His final winning margin likely to be between 3% and 5%. So far, analysis of this election has been driven by lots of political agendas, but very little data.

Together with @CRIndivisible, we organized the Lights for Liberty rally on July 12, 2019, drawing 200+ (including our congressman) to demand immigrant justice, an end to family separation at the border with Mexico, and the abolition of ICE.

Re-elect @CollsDems for Democratic Committee! #unplugthemachine
Together with coalition partners @OnePeoplesProj, @dsasouthjersey, @CRIndivisible, and others, we successfully counter-organized against a white supremacist conference originally planned to be held in Pitman. Due to pressure we helped generate, they were forced to relocate.
