40 Junior Soldiers and 10 military instructors return today from Exercise NORTHERN FIRST SNOW in Tignes France. Instead of Easter leave, they chose to build resilience, develop character, and pick up a foundation level skiing qualification. Opportunity well and truly taken.

Huge congratulations to the Junior Soldiers of Cambrai and Waterloo on completing the first six weeks of their Basic Training today. This is a key milestone for them, and the roars of emotion from reunited families is matched by their personal sense of achievement. Enjoy leave.

And that’s a wrap. The best 2.5yrs of my career, over in a flash. What a privilege to lead the AFC(H) team. I handover with pride to Lt Col Jules Russell, who knows the College well. There is truly no-one better for the job. To the JS and staff - you are amazing. Thank you.
