Today we mourn the loss of a great man and excellent leader - General Sir Mike Jackson. A soldier’s soldier, he was respected and admired for his conscientious leadership, fierce intellect, and straight-talking approach. He will be sorely missed.

Yesterday I visited Operation INTERFLEX, the multi-national training mission supporting Ukraine. I was impressed with the quality of instruction and dedication of the trainees—their excellent work underpins our ironclad support for Ukraine.

80 years since the Battle of Monte Cassino ended, a moving and memorable visit today to the Abbey at Monte Cassino, accompanying HRH the Duchess of Edinburgh. Together with @ArmyCGS we toured the Abbey and spoke to the Abbott before the Polish ceremony to mark the anniversary

Yesterday I visited Larkhill for the transition of Joint Helicopter Command into Joint Aviation Command. More than just a name change this is a vital part of @BritishArmy modernisation, with Uncrewed Air Systems at the heart of JAC.

Today it was my pleasure to host US Army Chief of Staff General Randy George to deliver the 77th Kermit Roosevelt Lecture at @RUSI_org, demonstrating the close and enduring partnership of @USArmy and @BritishArmy.

Merchiston Castle School, in support of the Army in Scotland, hosted the first of a series of three Kermit Roosevelt Lectures (KRL).  This year’s speaker was Chief of Staff US Army, General Randy George. British Army Senior representatives were MS and GOS, GofEC and Comd 51X.
