NASA satellite data just confirmed temps flat from 2003 to 2015. Strong El Nino warming pushes up rise to 0.2C over 15 years, equivalent to around 1.3C per century - more or less the same since the current gentle warming started in 1890. Climate models - garbage in, gospel out.

News you might have missed in mainstream media. Arctic sea ice extent for the month of April was the highest for 12 years, providing evidence of a longer term recovery. In the Antarctic winter, the ice in April grew at a faster rate than the 1981-2010 average.

The theory is that a higher level of C02 in the atmosphere leads to higher temps and if it is raised a tad above 0.04% we will be engulfed in a fireball. A bit like the one on Mars perhaps where C02 accounts for 95.32% of the atmosphere and the average temperature is minus 60C.
