Some people have started equating other humans as being a virus. Humans are not a virus. The system is toxic - that is the problem. Indigenous people around the world have shown that we can live in line with natural systems. @ExtinctionR pushes for life. All life.

At @Southwarkcathed today Judith Russenberger shaved off her hair during a Eucharist service, as an act of repentance for the role both individuals & the church are playing in fuelling the climate emergency. Her husband spoke out about why she felt called to take this step.

Rev Sue Parfitt, 77, is still being held at the police station. We have heard that she is having a virtual hearing today via video link. Please pray for this brave lady - for that love which casts out fear 🙏

This coat is called the coat of hopes. It has been walked 500miles to Glasgow. Along the way it has been covered by embroidered patches, which have been created by people across the UK. Each square depicts hope for COP26. Below it is being worn by CCAs Melanie Nazareth.

To tackle this climate emergency, all industries need to #CutTheTiesToFossilFuels Today CCA are at @BAESystemsInc headquarters - one of the world’s largest military suppliers. Why? Because arms production & military supply is an immense contributor to climate change 🧵👇

Shell might have money .. But we have bravery. As Christians we are called to turn over the tables of the oppressive powers of our time. @Shell is set on condemning our children to a life of suffering. Today we went to their AGM to say no!

There were almost 10 people at @ExtinctionR today who reaffirmed their baptism vows.. @HollyAPetersen "I wanted to be baptised here because this is the outworking of my faith. Being here, making a stand for God's creation, is my worship"

This has been an intense week for members of CCA. We have been in prison, in court and on the streets. But wherever we have been, you better bet we have been taking a stand for all those impacted by climate breakdown. This blog will be updated daily...
