@SenJohnThune Thune keeps pushing on net neutrality. And he is bringing up Gigi! Wasn't expecting him to bring up working with Gigi Sohn during Rosenworcel's hearing. Don't be fooled -- Thune does not want net neutrality restored and is not a fan of ISP regulation

@SenJohnThune is bringing up net neutrality (he is not a fan) and wants Rosenworcel to come to Congress before considering new net neutrality rules. Diplomatically, Rosenworcel says she will always work with the Commerce committee on important issues like this

The signing ceremony is happening right now! The IIJA is sending $65 billion dollars to the FCC & NTIA, and the clock on a lot of work starts today. The Senate must confirm Jessica Rosenworcel and Gigi Sohn to the FCC and Alan Davidson to the NTIA before the end of the year.

One of the main barriers to high quality internet that students and families share is affordability and lack of options. The #EBB is a good start but an imperfect long term solution.

Along with the fact that #WeNeedAFifthCommissioner we also need Chairwoman Rosenworcel to be nominated to serve another term and appointed permanent Chairwoman to close the #UrbanDigitalDivide and #HomeworkGap. We love to see more ECF funding for schools and libraries!

@RonaldKlain @jomalleydillon @whcos let me clarify that this is b/c they can’t afford to have their homes wired and/or ISPs don’t have any lines laid in their neighborhoods. A fully staffed FCC could make huge changes to fix this. #WeNeedAFifthCommissioner
