Today, we do a third installment about the relation (or lack thereof) between the citywide upzoning "City of Yes for Housing Opportunity" and the current affordability crisis, and why this plan would help the wealthy and do nothing for those in need: https://t.co/cAjAGOuGkD

Don’t let @NYCMayor + @NYCHousing pull a fast one! Planned 388 Hudson St development’s affordable housing would be temporary, and would tower far above everything around it. We deserve better — PERMANENT affordable housing only, respectful scale + height: https://t.co/5v3cuWvcxg

The city continues to drag its feet on protecting the safety of older buildings from adjacent construction, incl. landmarked ones. Get the latest on these ongoing battles to get the city to do its job at sites in #GreenwichVillage and the #EastVillage: https://t.co/X5njR2OZ1r

@NYCMayor Ignoring residents (voters) and making roadway dining permanent aka privatizing public space which decreases quality of life for residents is an odd bill to be proud of.

Thank you @ChrisMarteNYC for your heartfelt comments on behalf of your constituents. 11 out of 45 Council members understood that this the Open Restaurants Law is terrible legislation. From the comments of those who voted for it, it’s clear many CMs never read it in full

Today @GovKathyHochul announced a deal that increases the # of affordable units @ 5WTC w/a preference for #911Survivors & 1st Responders. This is a great first step & @AffordableTower looks forwards to working w/elected officials to bring even more affordable units to 5WTC.

Noise Pollution IS pollution @JimGennaro It has devastating side effects.
We received word that @JimGennaro is looking into effectively ending noise pollution enforcement in New York City. So businesses can blare sidewalk music as much as they like. If so, what a terrible environmental chair.

Those who claim excessive noise is just ok- just part of the 'urban experience'-suck it up & read how dangerous it is to one's health & hearing. Lackey -inept City Council members-i.e. @CMCrystalHudson BS about anything else-other than this: https://t.co/U47ylie14W

The most sustainable building is one that already exists. Adaptive reuse, like what the artists did in SoHo, beats tear down every time.

Corporations love to show off new constructions with fancy eco features. For truly green architecture, it’s best to build on structures already in place.

The roses are out & the garden is feeling lush 🌹 The City doesn’t think it has to do an Environmental Impact Statement for destroying over 20k sqft of green space. Thankfully the NY State Supreme Court has ruled that they do, and we agree. #ElizabethStreetGarden #SaveESG

No one from Elizabeth Street Garden. It happened naturally and quite ironically from a partner of the City. Putting that here in writing for you. But I often wonder who lobbies you as a reporter attempting to twist narrative and spread misinformation.
Just saw a LinkNYC screen highlighting the Elizabeth Street Garden and like… who lobbied to get that on there.

@JCColtin Not surprising LinkNYC is recommending the garden. Its unique, beautiful and hugely used by thousands of New Yorkers and visitors to NYC. The true lobbyists were the ones who got it declared ‘blighted land.” Now that was political influence!

So even if @SpeakerMcCarthy & @GOP refuse to see gun violence as a problem— many of our allies are more clear eyed @POTUS
