Reason #5711 why Pamela Colloff is the GOAT investigative reporter
I always use colorful stamps when sending mail to anyone in prison: just one pop of color can be meaningful in a world of white and grey. @DinaGachman on the sensory deprivation of prison and the hunger it creates: https://t.co/VZQm3b26G8

I can't stop thinking about this. At this point I wonder if we've collectively taught it about every single crosswalk in the world.

This has been reported before, but is it common knowledge that every time we fill out a ReCaptcha we're helping train Google's self-driving car AI? Hence its obsession with traffic lights, cross walks, etc...

For me, hyperfocus = endlessly fiddling with phrases in a single paragraph as I write, or organizing all my reporting in a super duper spreadsheet as I procrastinate writing. But how do you snap out of it?

Here in Maine, plenty of pro-choice dem boomers vote Collins every time. One told me she doesn’t blame the senator for yesterday.“We’ve entered a new era when the supreme court is entirely political. Susan and I are part of a generation that didn’t think that would happen.”

Confirmation hearing statements on Roe: Roberts: “settled as a precedent of the court” Gorsuch: “a good judge will consider it as precedent” Kavanaugh: “an important precedent” Barrett “so well settled that no political actors and no people seriously push for their overruling”

One tip here: carry your "press credentials" at all times...do any of y'all have these? I've carried business cards of course, but never been issued a bonafide "press" badge. Is this a newspaper thing?
The following advice and recommendations are intended to give the reader a high-level understanding of the rights of a journalist when confronted by law enforcement officers while covering a protest or other political event. #JournoSec #roeoverturned

Plus, more on-duty cops means more can get paid while mourning, which I imagine is comforting for them.
