It’s amazing how often I have to remind friends and loved ones not to take anything a large language model tells you as a verified fact. Google etc was never exactly reliable, but ai has made it much less so.

That this is the pretty much the best case scenario says something.
I disagree with the doomsday crowd who believe Elon’s formation of the America Party will hurt the Tesla brand. While it’s difficult to predict the short term impact, I doubt this will impact $TSLA stock longer term. IMHO the America Party is highly unlikely to get much.

I’m sorry but this is just not true. Driverless cars do make mistakes—especially around pedestrians—and even the companies that most enthusiastically promote them don’t try to claim that the mistake rate is zero.

possible explanations 1) musk was caught up in the moment and got carried away 2) figured he could talk trump into moderating on evs 3) didn't care at the time, but does now because tesla's market position has gotten weaker. suspect all three are true to some extent.

during the campaign trump made 100 percent clear he was going to cut ev tax credits. musk not only ignored this, but at the time said he was in favor of cutting of the cuts. just odd.
