A reminder that the very creators of lightning said that lightning would require a blocksize increase or future soft fork to work at scale. CTV + CSFS is a simple, well understood soft fork that gets us closer to that goal.
@Meditation_Man Lightning had built very broad consensus and we even fought a war to implement segwit. I’m more referring to all the ideas that want to create other chains, etc… and need consensus rule changes.

My definition of a bitcoiner is "a person who understands that the one thing all bitcoiners have to agree on is that almost all bitcoiners have to agree that an upgrade to Bitcoin should be implemented before it is implemented.". Resistance to change is, by far, Bitcoin's most.
