We need to return to having an AFL reserves competition. I remember the good old days of curtain raisers. Then let the VFL be the VFL - indeed change it back to the VFA. I used to love watching it on a Saturday on the ABC. The good ol days of Sandy v Frankston etc 🦓 🐬

There must be discretion built into the rule. The automatic disqualification is absolute nonsense when players innocently hit the ball back like that 100 times a game. And fancy the opponents asking for the default - is that really how they wanted to win!?

I loved Jeff as Premier but this old school mentality of “must go to work” is so outdated. What a way to disenfranchise good workers who have to waste 2-3 hours commuting when that time could be spent sleeping, doing extra work or spending time with family.

Jumper rating of 3/10. From afar, almost impossible to tell who is who. The least “clashy” of the three lions’ kit and thank goodness for white shorts, but it’s still bad. Orange v yellow🤦♂️. Lions need a white or royal blue kit. Or, Giants wear Never Surrender!

Nothing wrong with the colours of red and yellow. But the jumper and logo need an urgent overhaul. It looks like a training guernsey. Go for a sash or hoops or yoke with monogram. Anything but the current design which looks like a training singlet.

There is nothing wrong with an adult wearing a team’s guernsey to a game. I don’t understand why it is so shunned. All over the world, supporters wear on-field gear to celebrate their team, but for some reason it is seen as being childish in the AFL.

That is a clash. If Tigers had to wear yellow in 17 and GWS white in 19, what is the difference this year? Although the Bulldogs’ top is neither dark nor light, the royal blue clashes with Melbourne’s navy blue, like against the Lions hence why Dogs wore white kit in semi final!

I don’t understand why so many of our great AFL traditions need to change because other sports do something different. I think the Grand Final replay should return. Also, commentators need to stop saying “deeefence” and “offence”. It’s “forward line” and “back line”!
