Agree. This is out of hand and is going to cripple the city. People can’t afford this. I can’t afford a 168% month over month price hike for a 580 square foot apartment
In what world is it legal for @ConEdison to double their rates from one month to another and just devastate households across NY? They didn’t even give people a heads up. I live out on Staten Island and this might be one of the few issues where Rs and Ds would organize together.

Got my electric bill today and nearly choked. Power to my Brooklyn apartment cost *triple* what it did last month, due mainly to a 3x rise in #NYC "supply cost." When I called @ConEdison, their automated system told me there were no agents available to take my call. BUT 1/
