Unlike others who spend their time analyzing averages of the data, I analyzed the data being averaged. Big difference. I do not find warming in the data. I find warming biases. Station moves or site changes primarily, as evidenced by abrupt shifts in long term averages.

What happens when troposphere cools and shrinks is it is compressed by gravity, which is work. This converts potential energy into kinetic energy. The sun warms the planet. That is a different question.
