Getting words of wisdom from the legend himself, Dr Eugene Braunwald! On the right, as a visiting med student at the Brigham in 2009. Fast forward 14 years, longer lab coat, about to leave Boston to Nashville with great memories from
@BWHCVImaging
.
Rafa was a true embodiment of excellence. His life was nothing short of inspiring, and it is with great sadness that we learn of his passing just as he was about to embark on a new journey as an IM resident at the University of Colorado 😔
This is my dad.
And this year marks the end of an era in his life.
For 30 years, my father has been a confectionary vendor selling candies for kids in schools.
At the end of each year with schools closed, he then went to a beach in a nearby state to sell ice creams.
So happy and honored to be awarded by the
@vumccardsfit
fellows with the Overall Faculty Teacher of the Year Award. I have been in Nashville for less than a year and thanks to the amazing colleagues at
@VUMC_heart

I passed the

! Horay! Very difficult exam..Really nervous because it would be terrible being a imaging fellow at
@BWHCVImaging
without passing this thing.. lol.. 😅
Horay! Board certified in Nuclear Cardiology. 😅
It’s a difficult test, but fair, some physics, but nothing crazy and lots of clinical cases.
@MyASNC
course is a must for whoever is preparing for it!
Also, great that CBNC is releasing the results right away!

What to tell about this incredible human being,
@RonBlankstein
!? Such a rare combination of big heart and big brain in one person. My mentor for Life.. Everyone loves him.. he’s self-actualization personified! I just wish he lives 100+ years. Thanks for existing, Ron!
Thrilled for seeing so many hyper-industrious Brazilians matching in elite programs: WashU, Yale, Pitt, Mayo, UTSW.
That’s a community effort that started years ago at the USMLE Brazil FB group with people sharing their stories.
Celebrate and don’t forget to pay it forward!
From Bahia to Baltimore to Boston, so glad to see my famous cousin, role model and cardiac imaging hero Dr João Lima from

A broken ❤️🩹 can lead to a sick 🧠.
We showed that increased inflammatory markers in a cohort of post MI patients are associated with development of PTSD.
Important milestone as this is my 50th publication. 🤓
I have the best dad in the world!
He’s undergoing elective CABG tomorrow and this AM, he handled me pages with detailed instructions of “how to take care of everything”.
Pages and pages with things like “if any problem with my car, call Bill, he knows what to do”.
Thrilled to see the legendary

Two of the best years of my life were spent at

Last day of cardiac imaging fellowship, as a tradition starting today, our chief

was harder than I thought.. certainly the hardest exam I took in my entire life.. This >90% passing rate is very misleading, they must set the bar very low.. Otherwise, God help us! Don't want to spend $2,400 on this again. That's bananas! 😓
