So lucky to have such a great mentor @ShadiYaghi2 and thanks to all the collaborators!! Black race, history of VTE, and the presence of APL Ab are associated with recurrent venous thrombosis among patients with CVT.

What predicts recurrent venous thrombosis after cerebral venous thrombosis? Check out our study highlighting the role of racial inequity/social determinants of health in recurrence risk. So proud of @ShuLiqi and grateful for the ACTION-CVT team. https://t.co/RqZ1YwbD7A

AF patients w ischemic #stroke despite DOAC are at high risk of recurrent ischemic stroke & adding antiplatelet will increase the risk of bleeding without any added benefit. Same with switching anticoagulation class. @StrokeAHA_ASA #neurotwitter

"As science evolves, advice changes," Dr. @ashishkjha says. "Misinformationists will use that and exploit that to make it look like the CDC is being inconsistent. I think the CDC is a great agency, great scientists — America's best scientists, really — but they aren't perfect."

I have often wondered when we do these ‘million dollar neuro workups’ what happens when the pt is discharged? how anyone can manage the deluge of results, the lack of certainty, the follow ups, the care coordination care, the complexity of the mammoth medical system…
