Today we cut the ribbon for The Aster! 82 new purpose-built affordable rental homes for families, seniors, and people with disabilities. We are grateful for the opportunity to open these new homes on the stolen lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Peoples.

Framing is progressing on level 2 North of our Brightside project (The Hawthorn). Suspended slab reinforcing & rough-ins are underway for level 1 South. Re-shores are about to be removed for the North Parkade.

Person-centred relocation is a critical part of redevelopment. With residents from our 4 redevelopments successfully relocated for the construction of 485 new affordable homes, @HappyCitiesTeam did a fantastic job helping us learn and create best practices in Resident Relocation.
Moving can be taxing—physically, emotionally, and financially. We were grateful to work with @BrightsideHomes & hear from residents directly on how housing providers can better support #wellbeing when people are relocated. Here's what we learned:.
