We’re proud to announce that we are one of 30 finalists (1,371 submissions) in @DeptVetAffairs’ #MissionDaybreak, a $20 million challenge to reduce Veteran suicides. As a finalist, we received $250,000 and are advancing to the Phase 2 virtual accelerator.

We also identified some alarming disparities in discharge outcomes for survivors of firearm suicide attempts related to race as well. Minorities are less likely to receive post-discharge psychiatric care, but more likely to be discharged to law enforcement, for example.
