The dive reflex is an autonomic reflex activated by water on the face and/or breath holding. As seen in this breath hold, peripheral vasoconstriction (VLF) increases while HR decreases. Reflex action to preserve blood flow to brain. @ReflexDAO

HRV Spectrum, real-time VLF/LF/HF percent, and HR during active stand test from seated position. Expected increase in VLF and HR with decrease in HF from the position change. What would this data look like in POTS? ME/CFS? @ReflexDAO

HRV Spectrum, real-time VLF/LF/HF band power and HR during transition from free breathing to resonance breathing at 6/min. Upon entrainment, most power found at 0.1 Hz. IBI derived HR shows dramatic RSA oscillation. @ReflexDAO @BreathingByEd

Ensemble plots showing beat morphology. Rest: smoother diastolic tail and slightly more rounded systolic peak.Stand: faster, steeper upstroke and sharper, narrower peak, with a lower, flatter diastolic tail – consistent with higher peripheral resistance / lower compliance.

Active Stand, PPG Morphology/Rest→Stand/Upstroke Time ↑ (0.44→0.54s): slower systolic rise from ↑ periph.resistanc/Pulse Amp↓~85%: strong drop in stroke volume/Dicrotic Notch↓~83%: reduced wave reflection/Interpret:Classic baroreflex unloading w/venous pooling + vasoconstr.

Active stand test 4 min. HR/PPG/PWA graphs. After a run so my seated/resting HR a bit jacked. Rest PWA 3x higher than stand. Crucial info for POTS, ME/CFS, vascular stiffness health monitoring. This new wearable we are testing is killer. @ReflexDAO

This is just fantastic. I am quite impressed by this level of understanding and foresight. @ReflexDAO
@BrainstemMd I appreciate that. Over the years, I’ve trained AI systems with everything I’ve studied, including science, validation frameworks, Creative Destruction timelines, pricing models, and long-cycle pattern recognition. This isn’t guesswork; it’s the synthesis of decades of data.

Exceptional pulse wave amplitude (PWA) characterization from a @ReflexDAO wearable in a sleep hypopnea subject. Arrowheads in [B] show bursts of sympathetic vasoconstriction, surrogate markers for EEG arousals that occur during REM [B] but not deep sleep [C].

New wearable testing by @ReflexDAO Pulse wave amplitude [A] (ReflexDAO) compared to oxygen saturation [B] (Oxyring) during sleep. Obvious increased PWA and variability during periods of unstable O2 (REM), and PWA stability during stable O2 (deep). Not your grandpas wearable.

Analysis of sleep using the @ReflexDAO prototype device and app. Research subject of young age. Wavelet, IBI (RR interval), and accelerometer graphs for 2 hours of recording. Clear changes in frequency power from transitions through sleep stages.

We agree with @BreathingByEd - your nervous system isn’t a mystery, it’s a signal. When you learn to listen and regulate, safety replaces stress, and control replaces chaos. @ReflexDAO, we turn those signals - heart rhythms, breath patterns, autonomic shifts - into real-time
Having a regulated nervous system is one of the greatest life hacks in the 21st century. But 99% have no idea where to start. I read the most popular book on nervous system regulation. Here are my top 10 takeaways…🧵 1. How To Recognise Dysregulation.

This is awesome. I’ve written a python script that uses IBI (RRi) data to generate a wavelet graph and corresponding IBI graph below. This is MIT sample slp37 with obstructive sleep apnea. Obvious cyclic RR matching high intensity in the VLF (0.04 Hz) frequency. @ReflexDAO

Wow. 10 minutes breathwork while at work but sitting in a proper chair rather than the couch at home. Better posture produced better result, higher RSA, and just a fantastic entrainment of the heart rhythm from the rhythmic changes in the thoracic chamber. @ReflexDAO

This is exactly what @ReflexDAO is doing, streaming nervous system and cardiac data from the edge. Great post.
When your nervous system becomes a data stream. @ReflexDAO captures real-time ANS signals-turning physiology into programmable logic. Build with the body, onchain.

Earlier this year I did 15 min. of breathwork every morning for two mos. Began late Feb. Recently, I noticed that the monthly rest HR on my Apple Watch captured the same dramatic improvement in monthly rest HR captured as Reflex due to the breathwork. @ReflexDAO

The @ReflexDAO device is a smart health tracker, but smarter than the usual smartwatch built on @peaq It doesn’t just count steps or check your heart rate , it looks deep into your body’s stress, recovery, and balance system, called the autonomic nervous system, this are part

I hit the Reflex gym this morning, 15 min. of breathwork. Preparing my nervous system for the stressors that I will experience today at the hospital. Remaining calm during life and death situations is crucial. @ReflexDAO @BreathingByEd
