They have now reversed course and approved Chad’s surgery. Bullying works, but it shouldn’t have come to this. These insurance companies must be reigned in. Our healthcare system must change. You shouldn’t have to go viral in order to get the care you need, and most cannot.

@Aetna JUST GOT THE CALL THIS MORNING: AETNA APPROVED MY PROCEDURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! it’s unknown when the surgery will take place. the hospital is trying to see if can still happen on monday as originally planned. but the biggest hurdle, @Aetna, has agreed to cover the procedure.

@Aetna UPDATE: aetna has reached out to my doctor and theoretically they will be speaking about my case on monday, despite my surgery being cancelled. hopefully this can lead to a sooner approval and rescheduling. this is flipped from just a few hours ago when they said the denial was
