I am not sure whether or not Larry understands that in the context of genocide, standing up to powerful supporters is exactly what must be done. Human Rights and Justice are worth supporting/defending in good times and bad. Otherwise, what's the point?.
Reposting my piece from last Friday in the wake of a strategically placed anti-OTB piece in @thehill and subsequent anti-Ireland posts by leading members of Congress. I am just not sure if people here understand that we are making hugely powerful enemies.

It's so sad and depressing to see that politicians don't understand or ignore International Law and Human Rights. So predictable to see Israeli and US lobbying against doing the right thing.
I hope that Ireland will reconsider their efforts to economically isolate Israel, as they are in a fight for their very existence. I do not believe these efforts would be well received in the United States and they certainly would not go unnoticed.

The political cowardice of the EU is unreal. Ireland needs to take action along with like minded states.
EU foreign ministers failed to agree to suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement at a meeting in Brussels today. They also failed to agree to any of the nine other options presented to them that would have taken action against Israel.
