This. We looked into adoption, and it is in no way equivalent to raising your own. It needs much more skill, it's harder emotionally, and adoptions can break down and you lose the child. People who can't have kids may also happen to be suited to adoption, but most won't.

That thing is 2 storeys high, so god knows how they'll get him out now. He had been on the ground for the previous 3 hours.

Update: we asked Facilities to give the little guy water a few hours ago, but they refused to open the door in case it flew into the open plan office and, besides, the RSPCA were "on their way". They've just relented and brought water, but he flew up into the rafters a while back.

Drama in the office. A magpie has found its way through an open window into the indoor tree enclosure and can't find its way back out. RSPCA on the way to rescue it. Could have been there since as far back as Friday 😬
