Eye opening
I'm being dismissed from my Tenure Track position at Emporia State University in May. The university used a process approved by KBOR that bypassed faculty shared governance to eliminate numerous tenured, TT, and non-TT faculty.

Those w/#ADHD are at higher risk of unplanned pregnancy. Also of divorce, job loss, financial struggles, abusive relationships. Taking away choice in terms of whether or not to have a child regardless of our circumstances will cost us access to many other critical choices as well

Lemme tell you a story. I was outed at 17. A mom learned that I had a boyfriend & alerted anyone who’d listen. She howled about my “corrupting influence” & insisted that my gayness was contagious. Peers were pulled from my classes. Others stopped showing up to practice. (1/8)

Please also realize that police brutality is a disability justice issue. Daunte Wright dealt with a learning disability. Many of the Black folks killed by police have disabilities.

I pray that members of the Congressional Black Caucus will make clear that not embracing $15/hr minimum wage is deadly racism. It took Black people 400 years to get from $0 to $7.25 in this country. We can’t “build back better” without ensuring a living wage for every American.
