I think Snap really does need a massive balance change. I think the opposite of tech slop to me is point slop and that’s what this meta game is increasing feeling like oh I don’t build my deck to answer this deck guess I die to an extreme extent.

After reading through all of the replies, I feel the need to let everyone who finds this tweet know that judges absolutely CAN answer questions about situations before they actually happen.
There’s a 2/3 Tarmogoyf on the board with no instant in graveyard. You ask a judge “if I bolt that goyf, will it die?” How do you want the judge to answer?

Absolutely not. Which is why I was so infuriated by the entire discourse around this hypothetical preemptive judge call. If you take the game action, you shouldn't be allowed to rewind; so you should be able to ask a judge what the outcome will be before you take the game action.
