An MRI would have shown this immediately and later it led to a very fast analysis that the situation required surgery. Due to the delays the nerve became further damage and now I have continued hand numbness that will likely last a lifetime. The PT made no difference.

Cysts can be drained or removed. It isn’t that big a deal. But if you carry one for a while and try to exercise on it then it will result in muscular injuries due to the imbalance it causes. Naturally, having not been dealt with quickly, it led to a quad tear + damaged hamstring.

In the second situation, my leg began to give out on me randomly one day. The doctor was again not able to request a MRI until I had done numerous months of physical therapy. This was in part due to the fact that the injury in question did not appear related to ligament damage.
