Twice in the past year, my insurance essentially forced my doctor to prescribe multiple months of physical therapy before approving an MRI scan. In both cases, the delay caused further damage and made the situation significantly worse and mostly costly for them.

An MRI would have shown this immediately and later it led to a very fast analysis that the situation required surgery. Due to the delays the nerve became further damage and now I have continued hand numbness that will likely last a lifetime. The PT made no difference.

Cysts can be drained or removed. It isn’t that big a deal. But if you carry one for a while and try to exercise on it then it will result in muscular injuries due to the imbalance it causes. Naturally, having not been dealt with quickly, it led to a quad tear + damaged hamstring.
