In early October, I reported that he was investigated for his conduct with a lower-ranking female colleague. The probe focused on allegations that he had a female colleague’s hotel room canceled on a work trip, so the woman would have to stay in his room.

“I will be withdrawing myself from Thursday’s HSGAC hearing to lead the Office of Special Counsel because unfortunately I do not have enough Republican votes at this time,” Ingrassia wrote in on social media. Several GOP senators had came out against the 30-year-old lawyer.
