Got my first look at the on-ice analytics for players with at least 60 minutes played on the man advantage…. It’s bad. We already knew the powerplay was poor, but yeah. Lots of red/dark orange. Josh Norris had decent stats though, so that was nice to see.

They are so significantly far from what Mike is saying here.

F it here's another idk what I'm doing anyways. Individual stats for defensemen only at 5v5 w/ at least 200 mins TOI in 2024-45. *For minor penalties and giveaways, go by the color not the number. For everything else, go by both.

Oh and look at these two psychos.(Skaters On Ice 5v5 200+ TOI - 2024-25)

Again, I'm an analytics rookie, please take that into consideration. If anyone in the know wants to share ways to tweak things for a better overall picture (because I know these stats aren't the full story), I'm all ears.

For guys that arrived/left this summer: I have some more confidence than before about the incoming players looking at some of their on-ice results. I still wish it was JBD competing w/ Johnson for the 7th D spot instead of Bryson. (For skaters over 200 TOI on-ice results at 5v5)

I knew it wasn't a great year for UPL, but anyone in a Sabres jersey between the pipes last season or this upcoming season were below average in some important metrics. (For goalies with 300+ minutes at 5v5)
