Policy win! The Vulnerable Road User Law is designated as a priority bill. Next, it goes to debate by all legislators and the prioritization helps move it through the next steps. Thank you to the Judiciary Committee for hearing testimonies and making LB 530 a priority!

Talk about incremental progress! The City of Lincoln Government was just awarded the funds to construct over two miles of protected bike lanes. The project was first identified five years ago as a part of the 2019 Lincoln Bike Plan. https://t.co/3VJQMKGNhI

Alongside the Nebraska Trails Foundation, we declared this goal in 2018. The relentless & collaborative efforts of all organizations a part of the MoPac Alliance, including the Great Plains Trails Network, who created the MoPac Trail decades ago, got us where we are today

It's official! There's a route for the MoPac Trail! Once done, the trail will fully connect Omaha and Lincoln. The planning, funding, approval, and political will needed to complete the gap in the MoPac Trail has been over six years in the making. https://t.co/iqNxwAXuWB

Note that this represents a 100% increase over the TOTAL number of bike/ped fatalities in 2023 for the City of Omaha @OmahaOfficial. For a city with a #VisionZero commitment, we ask: what is the plan?

We are distressed to hear about another person killed while walking in Omaha this morning. This brings the # of deaths of pedestrians+bicyclists equal to that of those in vehicles for the year. What is the plan to address this @omahapublicwrks @OmahaOfficial?
