Its this type of analysis and engaged thinking that excites people in the first place! I was lucky to have a family of card gamers and community of incredibly talented players to lean on and learn from for years. I'm stoked to see so many people reacting the same way.

Spent most of my high school and college playing Yugioh. Still found it difficult to express the "magic" that some of those older formats had. This nails it. I was a decent player and deck builder but reading opponents and bluffing was where I was able to find an advantage.

This is maybe the best analysis of retro format Yugioh that I've ever seen. To see people still discussing the interactions and nuances of the same cards/format a decade later is incredible. https://t.co/yNAW37gGs4

With so much time and additional work between projects its really easy to undervalue or even just forget how much care and effort you put into something. Thorough reviews like this (even negative ones) are so encouraging, they make you appreciate the journey and work. Thanks Tom.

Last night I played "Ahoy!" from @LederGames, for the first time. It could have easily been a disaster. Some friends invited us over to play, but they hadn't read the rulebook or done a playthrough. So we bungled through, using the little player aids for each faction and
