One-way road conversions create space for dedicated bus lanes and safe streets for pedestrians and bikers. Residents reap the benefits of: -faster buses -traffic calming -fewer deaths -and more street parking. Politicians should do more to support these changes but they aren’t.

Here is a list of four immediate and four long-term NJTransit rail improvements that @MikieSherrill should make during her first four years in office. https://t.co/mYOBAyTH9x

Not only should the HBLR be expanded north to Bergen County but it should also go west into Newark, down market street in the Iron Bound, and connect to the Newark Light Rail. The Newark-Elizabeth Light Rail link plan should also be resuscitated, @MikieSherrill.

It’s hard to blame a candidate in a competitive election (or so we all thought lol) for steering away from a contentious issue. NJ desperately needs a stronger pro-housing advocacy ecosystem to aggressively make these arguments over time and influence public opinion

Given @MikieSherrill’s raw vote count coming out of Jersey City, she really should look at canceling the wasteful $11 billion Turnpike widening and investing in better mass transit to connect Hudson, Essex, Union, and Bergen counties together.

Went from getting dunked on by Grok to proving our point in ten minutes flat. A new record. Jersey City did something other, more expensive cities didn’t. It built more housing and is, as a result, not as expensive.

@BetterBlocksNJ The only reason you lost the top spot is because other cities got more expensive. https://t.co/SIUPEyPmSA

And it still won’t say Jersey City is the most expensive housing market because it isn’t true by any reputable measure or source.

But, really, people who want to comment on housing costs should rely on the American Community Survey put out by the Census and not nonsense studies put out by rental brokers, which can be indicative of trends but suffer from sample bias.

Jack Ciattarelli literally ran for gov on a platform of ideas like cutting Newark's school aid and cutting NJ Transit. I'd be very disappointed if Mikie doesn't show favoritism towards blue areas and kill the turnpike extension.

We saw this posted by James Sinclair on the other site. It looks like @PATHTrain is finally looking to improve weekend service first on the 33rd Street line in 2026 and later on the WTC line in 2027. We know many people who have advocated for this. Thank you for your hard work!

The state can make HRH's life hell, as can the city with redeveloping the land. They've misplayed this, and imo might have really damaged a proposal to cross subsidize with housing if they had two brain cells to rub together.

Covid changed commute patterns. Many workers who used to commute 5 days a week now only commute 2-3 days to NYC. They wanted cheaper housing and more space to work from home but to still be close to the city. Jersey City fit the bill. PATH is finally responding to the demand.

PATH’s service expansion is a win for #JerseyCity and the region. It’s not that complicated - If we want to bring down housing costs, the most effective strategy is building supply of housing and expanding access to job-dense urban areas through fast, reliable mass transit.

.@PANYNJ - this is a good deal better in terms of service level improvements for @PATHTrain. Thank you! I think we’re about to see even more weekend ridership. This should be a neat exercise in induced demand for transit.

Question for @RobMenendez4NJ and potential challengers like @MussabAliJC - will you propose congressional legislation moving regulation of PATH from the FRA to the FTA?

It looks and acts like a subway, albeit one with cleaner stations. Yet the Port Authority’s PATH train is almost three times as expensive per hour to operate than New York’s City’s rail system.

Big news for JC and NJ. If you care about STEM, talent pipelines, or how cities can actually deliver big public-benefit projects, here’s some good news: Jersey City just cleared a major milestone on the Liberty Science Center High School. Construction bids came in on budget this
