Jersey City has started an incredible experiment to deter Turnpike traffic *and* make Columbus Dr safer for commuters & kids: No left-turns going north on Columbus between 6am-9am. It's finally *faster* to stay on the Turnpike vs cutting-through JC. Thank you Mayor @StevenFulop
Left turns lead to a majority of intersection crashes and are actually a source of traffic congestion. Many cities are increasing restrictions on left-turns to both make intersections a lot safer and improve the overall flow of traffic. Win-win:

Saturday's suspension of PATH's 33rd Street line was blamed on a malfunction of recently replaced track switches that caused a train car to derail.

#JCcrashes White Audi with NJ temp tags heavily-tinted all around just ran from police at Bayview and Ocean. Police didn't chase but are looking for the vehicle. Tag is F225759.

👏 No parking and retail opportunity means a safer and more walkable street for all.
The planning board is hearing a proposed change that will double the amount of affordable housing and add ground-floor retail to a proposed building on Bergen Ave. If you are able to, come out to support this proposal that will add more homes and businesses on July 15.
