And all of these micro-obsessions will probably end up being episodes of @ConspiracyStuff or Ridiculous History at some point. I know me too well.

Going 4 days without recording something has been bonkers. Feels like I was in another dimension. Hyper-fixated on the oddest things, read three books, wrote a ton and, for some reason I still don’t understand, I got super into sumo wrestling for a second.

Look, I’ve tried several drugs- caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, cannabis, etc. Literally no substance makes you more intoxicated than people coming back years later and admitting you were correct.

The 1982 Secret of NIHM film adaptation remains an absolute banger; it is Citizen Kane for rats.

Honestly, if the Western world’s best living horror author tells you a thing is, in fact, horrific, just listen to him. I’m not saying @StephenKing is some paragon of humanity, but the Old Man is making solid points.

This is a very interesting (and visually well presented) anatomy of the authoritarian tech right, their network, and their interests and influence. With a warning for Europe. https://t.co/9jjxt0Y7KL

I love our city. Our two-part @ConspiracyStuff interview with @KillerMike publishes this week. Warning: we explore a lot of the stuff, and at the very end, we nerd out about Gundam. I did not see that one coming. What a time. Please do check out the show.

Oil is the most Lovecraftian thing that actually exists. You're telling me that there's a black ichor under the earth, made from the ancient dead, whose burning can realize all the dreams of man but only at the price of slowly returning the earth to its primordial state?

My favorite new dumb joke: “You dudes ever hear about this Sisyphus? Now, that’s real Rock and Roll.”

A line from a non-work essay: “All paranoia includes an inherent element of narcissism; upon closer inspection, the two psychological motives are, indeed, inseparable.” Popping ‘indeed’ in there is so unnecessary, and I don’t care. I am correct.

Bears repeating: @NBallingrud is rocking the pillars of what publishers call genre. No offense, Mr. B. This is Bradbury-level stuff.
CATHEDRAL OF THE DROWNED release day! "Ballingrud once again proves himself one of the most fearless, fun, and original writers at work in horror today." -- Dan Chaon, author of ONE OF US.

Still one of my favorite bird facts. Owls are like vampires, and Crows are like vampire hunters. Since Corvids can teach their young, logically there must have been multiple Van Helsing-type crows throughout history, cawing “We strike by day—I know where the bastard sleeps!”
Fun fact: Crows and owls are mortal enemies in nature. Owls hunt crows at night, and crows gang up on owls during the day — they never trust each other for a second.

Absolutely loved it. Mr. H. knocked this out of the park, past the stadium lights, and long into the dark. To say anything else might ruin the ride:
Out today, wherever books are sold, in hardcover, as an ebook, and on audio, in th US, the UK, and Canada. It’s been a minute, huh? Sorry about the long break between novels but I hope you feel like King Sorrow was worth the wait.

I can't tell if I'm super good at throwing boomerangs, or just really bad at it. I lost five over the horizon already. This is gonna come back to haunt me.
