I was shocked when I first saw these results from standard climate models used in IPCC reports: for high emissions, the Atlantic overturning circulation #AMOC shuts down in all 9 models that ran past 2100, and is well on the way to shutdown by 2100. Our paper is out today. 🧵

Inspirational move by @YourRBI and something I hope other catchments can replicate @CaBAtweets. Voice of the #RiverTone, @FWAGSouthWest?
🗣️Could you act as the voice of a river?? Inspired by the global rights of nature movement, the Roding, Beam and Ingrebourne Catchment Partnership has voted in favour of seeking a person to act as a voice for the River Roding at future quarterly meetings of the partnership🧵👇

Today, my book Infantry in Battle, 1733-1783, released. Why should you care? It changes the story of 18th century battles by telling the experiences of enlisted and NCOs, not just the officers. Battle looks different when you are enlisted. A thread for the infantrymen. 1/20
