The Victorian Penny Chute Curiosity: Located on the black railings of the House of St Barnabas, a Georgian building on the corner of the Square and Greek Street, a "penny chute" remains from the Victorian era, used by passersby to donate spare change to the charity inside.

The Falcon, Arncliffe, #Yorkshire 🍻 An old Dales pub with an interior pretty much unchanged since the 1950s. The beer is dispensed straight from the cask by jug. For TV fans with long memories, the Falcon was the original Woolpack in the series Emmerdale Farm.

A pub has existed on this site at Dean St since 1728. Ye Golden Lion the previous name of the Golden Lion. The current building dates to the 1930s, it still features an old sundial from the period when it was known as Ye Golden Lion. The pub is temporarily closed for renovation.
