70-year-old mature silver birch trees in East Finchley may be felled. The trees stand outside Park House, home to Monkey Puzzle Nursery opposite East Finchley Station, where developer Places for Barnet is set to build 75 new homes and replace the nursery.

Sad to see as we kick off London Climate Action Week with 700 events showing the depth of the UKโs globally competitive climate sector We hope @Conservatives will come along to @london_climate to meet the businesses who see net zero 2050 as an opportunity not an impossibility
Net Zero by 2050 is impossible. There's no point Britain bankrupting ourselves over 1% of global emissions, while China and others carry on unchecked.

I thoroughly recommend this
My full-colour guide to knowing, understanding and identifying garden weeds is just ยฃ8 (normally ยฃ15) on Amazon UK right now, if you want to learn more about these amazing plants๐ฑ Plenty of advice on gently zapping them, too๐ #gardening #gardens #nature

Sizewell C is a colossal waste of ยฃ40 billion. The same money could fund a rooftop revolution - putting solar panels on 20 million homes - making 25% of all the electricity Britain needs and knocking around 500 quid aย year off our energy bills.ย Letโs bring Energy Independence

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming the lovely year 1 pupils from @CrowlandPrimary in #Haringey to EcoPark House! Here are some of the highlights: ๐ Students read the book The House Full of Stuff which is about reusing things to fix and mend rather than buying new ๐ฆ

Great news for Childs Hill and Barnet as Sadiq supports local school in becoming greener and saving on their energy bills.
I want schools to spend their money on books, not energy bills. I'm proud to announce the first schools across London that will get help to cut energy bills and spend more on books, technology and staff while tackling air pollution and cutting carbon. https://t.co/g52MUKDYIR

More flooding today just off the park entrance at #HeybourneCrescent & along #LanacreAvenue #HeybournePark @AffinityWater @BarnetCouncil #GrahamePark #Barnet
A tree had to be cut down at #Heybournepark yesterday to get access to a leaking water pipe which created flooding at the park. A new pipe was installed last night @AffinityWater @BarnetCouncil #GrahamePark #Barnet
